Hello to All USS Midway Veterans Wherever You May Be!
We have some good news to announce. The Midway Veterans Association is now accepting applications from not only Midway Veterans but their family members 21 years and older. Relatives are also subject to paying dues and will be considered members in good standing, including voting rights and the right to run for office. The membership believes this will help support Midway’s wonderful history now and in the future. Membership and dues information can be found within the Bylaws tab under MVA documents at www.ussmidway.net.
The Midway’s service life spanned nearly five decades (1945 – 1992). Midway proved to be one of the most heroic, mightiest, and longest-operating naval warships of the twentieth century. This spirit lives on today embodied by the concept of “Midway Magic.” The Midway Museum draws well over 1 million visitors each year, making her one of the most visited military museums in the country. If you are one of the estimated 225,000 Midway Veterans who served aboard Midway and would like to join ranks with your fellow shipmates, you too can share in the pride, tell your stories, and enjoy the fellowship that we all experienced as part of Midway’s glorious history.
